Anthony Swick, AIFD, CFD, PFCI
With a passion for floral design and working with the “back bone” of our industry, Anthony Swick strives to make education a focus in his career and available to all as a goal that he promises to continue to promote.
Anthony has more than 27 years experience in the floral industry, including 20 years as a retail floral shop owner. His dedication to the industry and desire to constantly keep his design skills at the forefront of trends and techniques not only made him transition quickly from designer to shop owner, but also proved to be useful as he continued in his career path as an educator. That passion for education combined with Anthony’s fresh and vibrant design style is the ideal platform providing opportunities to share experiences with peers as he presents local and national level education programs.
His continuing involvement in state and local industry associations gives Anthony the opportunity to participate in many large projects, including four-time returning member of the FTD design team responsible for the Florida Governor’s mansion. Anthony is a multi-award winner in many state and local competitions, and his work has been published in The Knot, Style me Pretty, many local and industry publications, and featured on local news broadcasts in the Tampa area.
As the current retail shop owner of Bay Bouquet in Tampa, FL, member of the BloomNet design team, and instructor at the Floriology Institute, Anthony’s passion for product development fuels the desire to seek out the challenges of bringing fresh ideas, trends and techniques to continue to grow as a florist and artist. With a deep understanding of retail, Anthony loves inspiring and assisting other florists in the ever changing retail market through hosting retail programs, consulting with retail owners or working to stream line retail shops.
