Getting to Facebook Insights
Go to your busines’s Facebook page and click on “Insights”, located a the top menu options.
On the left corner, you will find a menu bar with different features that will give you a variety of information on how your Facebook page. This analytics tool provides a snapshot of your Facebook presence on the Overview page and more specific data insights on the following tabs.
In the Overview tab, you will find a Page Summary, Your 5 Most Recent Posts, and Pages to Watch. These features give you a quick glance on your Facebook’s page performance.
In the Page Summary, you will find graphs which indicate different markers such as the number of actions on
your page, page views, pages liked, people reached, post and video engagement.
You can also export this data to an Excel Spreadsheet by clicking at the Export Data link. You can select the time frame that you wish to further analyze.
Useful Tip! If your strategy is to increase growth focus on the Page likes and Reach. However, if your plan is to increase content engagement, look at the Page Views, Post Engagement, and Videos data.
Your 5 Most Recent Posts
In Your 5 Most Recent Posts, you will find key information on your last five posts; when they were published, the type of post, the targeting audience, the people reached, engagement, and the boost promotion option.
Useful Tip! By knowing what posts resonate better with the audience, you can create similar content for future posts.
Pages to Watch
The Pages to Watch allows you to compare your Facebook page to other similar pages. If you click on their page, you will be able to see their top posts of the week.
Useful Tip! Look at your competitor’s top posts to see their best practices and integrate them to your communication strategy.
